CTM Consulting, Inc. provides investigative, loss analysis and expert testimony as forensic engineering consultants in cases arising from accidents or other occurrences resulting in damage to machinery and/or personal injury.

At The Scene

We will conduct an objective investigation at the scene of the accident or other occurrence before clean-up.
We will photograph and document the scene and obtain evidence.

Analysis

We will determine the cause of the accident or other occurrence and who or what was responsible.
We will establish the scope of the damages, determine the cash value and replacement cost of machinery or equipment damaged or destroyed.
We will determine the cost of repair or replacement and the time required putting the plant back to full operation.

Of particular importance to insurance adjusters are the following:

We review claims prepared by the insured or the insured’s representative.
We assist in claims negotiations.
In the case of damaged machinery or equipment, we determine whether it is more economical to repair or replace it.
We help select companies that specialize in machine repair and locate sources of replacement machinery and equipment.
We specialize in appraisals of boilers, pressure vessels and RTOs.
We prepare estimates of loss reserves.
We inspect machinery and equipment while repairs are in progress as well as when repairs are completed or when the machinery or equipment is replaced.
We prepare recommendations for safety measures to prevent repetition of the occurrences that caused the damage or injury.
We will prepare exhibits needed to support courtroom testimony and will present expert testimony as forensic engineering consultants.
We work closely with accounting and budgeting personnel.
